Jamaica is a very observant puppy ... she watches quietly.
Jamaica also has a sense of humor!
All of a sudden, she has really grown up!
Jamaica's first real outing was to a mall with
the Pike County "Paw Partners."
Her second was to Summit Lanes. She handled the noise and
commotion with no problem at all!
Jamaica arrived with Jim to show visitors at
the "Boomers and Beyond" Expo.
Jamaica and Anika joined Pocono Guiding Pups at a baseball game
We were invited to see "The Sound of
Music" at
The Pocono Playhouse in Canadensis, PA

September 25, 2007 Jamaica was taken back to The Seeing Eye™ this morning. She never did enjoy the outings like the other three trainees did, and the barking we were correcting her for was only getting worse. The behaviorist sent out last week had acknowledged that her issues were personality based and not likely to be trained out.
Not adopting her back was an incredibly
difficult decision... The 11 months that she spent with our family leave us
with many memories. I'll miss Jamaica-cake's pointy little nose nudging
me; she was such a sweet and affectionate girl. I know that there is a
home out there where Jamaica can be a wonderful pet.
I'll miss her.
